Sharing Circle about Basic Needs
We will be joining Elder Charlotte Yellow Horn McLeod in painting rocks while we participate in a sharing circle to share our thoughts on basic needs.
Art Supplies and light snacks can be picked up by registered participants at The Alex (Address on Poster) on Friday, January 28th from 9:00 am to11:00 am, or Wednesday, February 2nd from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. (Pick up a breakfast or lunch while you’re there!).

The Women’s Centre is offering peer support and employment help online!
Women can join us online every week starting May 4, 2021:
· Mondays 1-3pm
· Wednesdays 5-7pm
· Thursdays 10am-12pm
There is no need to sign up. To find the link, people can just visit womenscentrecalgary.org/calendar and look for Online Peer and Employment Support at the day and time they are interested in.
What can women access online?
· A safer, women-only space to connect and chat with other women and volunteers – join to say hello and have a virtual coffee or tea with other women.
· Up to 30 minutes of peer support in a breakout room where you can access information and referrals for food, clothing, furniture and more.
· Up to 30 minutes of employment support in a breakout room with a skilled volunteer who can help review resumes, assist with job searching, practice interview skills, and more
